Richard Ashcroft Unveils New UNOS Album Details

Richard Ashcroft Unveils New UNOS Album Details

From UNKLE to a Chemical Brothers collabo, a couple of hit solo albums and The Verve splitting up for the third time last year, Verve vocalist Richard Ashcroft has been keeping pretty busy.

According to his website, we can now expect a brand new project from the lanky former frontman. It features guitarist Steve Wyreman, bassist Paul ‘DW’ Wright and drummer Derrick Wright, and it’s called RPA & United Nations of Sound. The self-titled, 12-track debut LP will be released via Parlophone and it drops on July 19.

Back in January, NME featured an exclusive video for the UNOS track, “Are You Ready?” — a pump-you-up, comeback track with the ambition of a heavily sponsored pro athlete. (Though that feeling could just be attributed to the image of Ashcroft extensively training in a green ADIDAS track suit.) If the rest of the album is this good, it’s a safe bet that Ashcroft has found a way to come back in a big way.

Check out the full track listing below:

1. Are You Ready?
2. Born Again

6. Good Loving
7. How Deep Is Your Man?

10. Glory
11. Life Can Be So Beautiful
12. Let My Soul Rest
