Robert Plant's <em>Band of Joy</em> Gets Release Date

Although they were an unlikely pair, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss’ Raising Sand earned a handful of Grammy awards (including Album of the Year) and the love of critics everywhere. Now, three years later, Robert Plant is releasing his newest effort, Band of Joy.

Band of Joy is due out Sept. 14 on Rounder Records. The album was co-produced by Plant and guitarist Buddy Miller, Billboard reports, and features the vocal talent of singer-songwriter Patty Griffin. The album includes covers of songs by Los Lobos, Low and the Kelly Brothers.

Robert Plant will also hit the road in July to promote the new album across the U.S. You can check out a track listing for the album and dates below:
