Simon and Garfunkel have announced via their website that their North American tour (originally scheduled for April, then deferred until July) has been “postponed indefinitely” due to a condition affecting Art Garfunkel’s vocal chords. While they have assured fans that Garfunkel will make a fully recovery, they are as yet unsure of the timeline.
“I do feel bad about disrupting so many people’s plans,” Garfunkel said in a statement, “but, as I continue to mend, I can’t yet bring my ‘A Game’ to a tour, and I would not perform for you with anything less.”
The duo announced their intentions to tour again following a surprise reunion during a Paul Simon show in New York this past February.
