Starbucks to Offer Free Wi-Fi at U.S. Locations
About 1 hour ago, Starbucks sent out a tweet announcing that the coffee-house conglomerate will begin offering free wireless internet at all of its U.S. locations July 1. Currently, wi-fi can only be accessed at the venue by registering a Starbucks Card, and even then, it’s only available for two consecutive hours a day and requires a username and password.
According to the corporation’s tweet, beginning July 1, no registration will be required for wi-fi use at its approximately 6,700 U.S. locations and no time constraints will apply. Here’s hoping this sets a precedent for other businesses.
