The Blind Side Director in Talks to Give AMC a Football Drama of its Own

The Blind Side Director in Talks to Give AMC a Football Drama of its Own

John Lee Hancock, director of Oscar winning blockbuster The Blind Side, is in talks to direct a new football drama series for AMC, reports THR. The show, written by relative newcomers Graham Gordy and Michael Fuller, follows the story of a once-great Southern college football coach now struggling through his last-chance season.

AMC has recently received much critical acclaim for its collection of dramatic series (Breaking Bad, Mad Men), enough it would seem to prompt the acquisition of two more (Rubicon, The Walking Dead). Will Hancock’s sports drama, titled The Wreck, make three? The deal is expected to be finalized soon.
