The xx Announces Fall Tour, Gets Art Exhibit Treatment

Tonight, The xx kicks off a four-month, 14-country tour. In September, the band will link up with the all-female trio Warpaint for a final run of dates.

Even though the members of The xx might be in their home country of England this weekend, New Yorkers can still get a feel for the band, but in a different venue and medium. Artists, musicians and filmmakers Karl Sadler and Saam Farahmand came together to make a three-dimensional “visual music video” titled “xx: A Sculpture of the Album” that was on display for six days in London earlier this year and will be at the launch of the Creators Project in NYC tomorrow, June 26.
