Writers Guild Pressures IMDb to Remove Age Info

Age ain’t nothin’ but a number. Or so says the Writers Guild of America. That’s why it’s pressuring IMDb.com to remove information regarding age from personal profiles of actors, writers, directors, etc.

The Wrap reports that the WGA and other unions like the SAG have been pressing IMDb to remove birthdays from profiles for some time, citing Hollywood’s distaste for the elderly (anyone over 40) as a major concern.

IMDb.com has yet to make an official statement in response to the request.
