Yes, There Is Going to Be A Les Grossman Movie

Yesterday, MTV Films and Paramount Pictures announced they would be joining Tom Cruise in his quest for a high-"Gross"ing spinoff of the 2008 comedy Tropic Thunder.

Cruise has been vocal for a while about his plans to make a film centered on his Tropic Thunder character Les Grossman, a megalomaniac, money-grubbing, hairy-chested Hollywood superagent who makes Ari Gold look like Mahatma Gandhi.

MTV Films and Paramount will be developing the film. Cruise, Ben Stiller (who directed Thunder) and Stuart Cornfeld of Red Hour Films are producing and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World’s Michael Bacall will write the script.

Cruise’s appearances as Grossman at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards over the weekend reignited discussion and rumors about the project.

So we’re asking you, whether or not you’re totally stoked for a Tropic Thunder spinoff: What are some of your favorite spinoff movies? And which ones should never have left the pitch meeting?
