Ten More Lilith Fair 2.0 Dates Canceled

Ten More Lilith Fair 2.0 Dates Canceled

Sad news for fans who were waiting to see Ke$ha and Emmylou Harris on the same bill.

Yesterday, Lilith Fair organizers announced the cancellation of 10 more dates due to lagging ticket sales: Salt Lake City (July 12), Montreal (July 23), Raleigh (Aug. 4), Charlotte (Aug. 6), West Palm Beach (Aug. 10), Tampa (Aug. 11), Birmingham (Aug. 12), Austin (Aug. 14), Houston (Aug. 15) and Dallas (Aug. 16) are the next to go.

This news comes after the previously announced cancellations of the Nashville and Phoenix dates earlier this week and a string of cancellations from some of Lilith’s top-billed artists, including Norah Jones, Kelly Clarkson, La Roux and The Go-Go’s. Even the dates where the festival is still on are struggling from low attendance.

“We are in the midst of one of the most challenging summer concert seasons with many tours being cancelled outright,” Lilith co-founder Terry McBride said in the festival’s official statement. “Everyone involved with the tour would like to apologize to the fans and artists scheduled to play in these markets, and express appreciation for all the support for the festival’s return. Lilith remains the only tour of its kind, and we are confident that fans will be amazed by what each date has to offer.”

Festival organizers are offering refunds and encourage ticket-holders to keep checking the website for information on refunds or exchanges.

According to the statement, artists originally scheduled for the canceled dates may reschedule and still perform at the festival on other dates.
