San Diego Comic-Con 2010 Programming Schedule Released

Hold on to your hats, geeks and geekettes: Recently, the enormous culture phenomenon that is Comic-Con International unveiled the 2010 schedule of programming for its biggest event, San Diego Comic-Con, which goes down July 22-25.

The convention will play host to a wide range of talent from comic-book writers and artists to authors, television stars, producers and directors.

Thursday’s offerings include a first-ever DreamWorks panel for their new film, Megamind; both filmmaker and Indie Comics marketing 101 panels; a Scott Pilgrim panel presented by Universal; a screening of Joss Whedon’s Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog and the world premiere of a new Lost Boys movie. From there, the weekend only gets more crazy: Star Wars day on Friday means a diverse offering of Lucas-ian material, Q&As, bad cartoons, updates on popular videogame projects like Fable III and an Adult Swim panel. On Saturday, Chuck stars kick off the morning with a Q&A and screening (alongside a Spongebob panel occurring at the same time!), Warner Bros. hosts a panel featuring Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows but lacking any of the stars, writing how-tos and The Guild. Sunday winds it down with Glee, Nathan Fillion, a panel on the digital age of comics and a Rocky Horror-esque screening of Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s musical episode, “Once More With Feeling.”

Phew!

The schedule in its enormous entirety is available over at the Comic-Con website, complete with a nifty search feature.
