It’s been a rather hectic summer for Interpol, between a live lineup restructuring after the departure of bassist Carlos D and the postponing of a string of European gigs where they were slated to open for U2.
But fret not, Interpol fans. There’s some good news, too.
In addition to the previously reported remaining tour dates, the band has added a string of new North American shows bookending their Halloween night performance at the Voodoo Music Experience in New Orleans. Get excited, Oakland and Philadelphia!
Fans can also now pre-order Interpol’s self-titled fourth album, which drops Sept. 7, on iTunes—the advance order includes free immediate downloads of two tracks from the album, “Barricades” and an exclusive bonus track called “Crimewaves.”
Interpol will also be hitting the late-night TV circuit this week when they perform “Barricade” this Thursday (July 29) on The Late Show With David Letterman.
