In 1978, British songwriter Nick Lowe emerged with the iconic Jesus of Cool (in the U.K.), or Pure Pop For Now People (in the United States). Since then, Lowe has been in the studio on a pretty regular basis. With the exception of one six-year gap between albums, he has produced new material every other year, on average. In addition to making new material this millennium, he’s done plenty of solo touring. This fall, however, Lowe will embark on his first full-band tour in a decade.
A few days before the 15-date tour kicks off, on Sept. 21, three of Lowe’s albums—The Impossible Bird, Dig My Mood and The Convincer, a collection the artist considers a kind of “trilogy”—will be pressed on vinyl for the first time. The albums can currently be pre-ordered on Yep Roc’s website.
