Steve Carell to Produce and Star in Raised by Wolfs

As he prepares to walk away from his lead role on The Office, Steve Carell has signed on to star in a new DreamWorks comedy, Raised by Wolfs. According to The Hollywood Reporter, details on the film’s plot have yet to be revealed but “Wolfs is apparently a reference to the main character’s last name.”

Carell’s own Carousel Productions will produce the comedy, which was originally pitched to DreamWorks by Les Firestein (The Drew Carey Show, Wanda at Large). The Golden Globe Award-winning actor recently starred in Shawn Levy’s Date Night with Tina Fey and provided the main voiceover for Pierre Coffin’s Despicable Me. His latest film, Dinner For Schmucks, hit theaters Friday.
