The Mad Men GIF Party: Everyone's Invited!

Before the YouTube age, back when two-minute videos took hours to download and picking up the (gasp!) landline phone could disrupt your internet connection, short-lived hilarity was captured in the form of several frames of animation strung together in a looping picture format called an animated GIF. This fun bit of antiquated internet technology has stuck around in a semi-satirical fashion, with blogs like GIF Party giving us a reason to save images of Stephen Colbert dancing to our hard drives so that we can whip them out at a moment’s notice.

While Mad Men GIFs aren’t out in full force, they are around; let’s revisit this priceless moment from Season Three, when a lawn mower met a foot in the most unexpectedly hilarious and gruesome display of confetti’d gore that exists.
