Watch the New She & Him Video

Shot in fuzzy black-and-white, She & Him’s new music video is as old school and playful as Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward’s bittersweet folk-pop.

In the video, Deschanel and Ward are kids talking on tin-can telephones and sending each other notes that they somehow don’t receive till they’re grown up. The romantic drama that unfolds is all depicted in the newspaper of the era, the Telegraph & Bulletin.

The video was directed by Norwood Cheek, who has also worked with Superchunk and Ben Folds Five. The featured track, “Thieves,” is from She & Him’s latest effort, Volume Two. Check it out, below:
