Arrested Development Movie Script Halfway Written, Says Mitch Hurwitz

And so, the proverbial carrot on a string is lowered ever closer: a script to the Arrested Development movie exists…or half of one, anyway.

In an interview with Vulture at the Television Critics Association press conference, AD creator Mitch Hurwitz said the script for the Arrested Development is halfway to completion and sounded confident that the movie is a go—at this point, it’s just a matter of getting the gang together.

“We will make this movie,” Hurwitz told Vulture. “The only stumbling blocks will be scheduling. Everybody wants to play together.”

In interviews with Empire at Comic-Con, Jeffrey Tambor and Michael Cera also sounded fairly confident that the movie would happen, per everyone’s availability.

Hurwitz’s new television comedy, Running Wilde, starring AD alumni Will Arnett and David Cross, premieres this fall on Fox
