Corin Tucker on Sleater-Kinney Reunion: "I Hope it Happens."
In a recent interview with Paste, former Sleater-Kinney frontwoman and soon-to-be solo artist Corin Tucker took a moment to discuss the potential of her old band getting back together.
“I really hope so,” Tucker responded when asked if she’d work with guitarist Carrie Brownstein and drummer Janet Weiss again. “I don’t take it for granted and say that it’s inevitable. I’ll just say for myself that I hope that it happens. I think we’ve got a fair amount of logistical stuff for that to work through for that to happen, but—yeah.”
Couple that with Brownstein’s “I think it will happen,” and you’ve got, well, you’ve still got a potential reunion on the horizon! In the meantime, S-K fans can look forward to Tucker’s self-titled solo debut via Kill Rock Stars on Oct. 5, read Brownstein’s words on NPR’s Monitor Mix blog and enjoy Weiss’ rhythmic work for Quasi and Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks.
