Entourage to End In 2011

Entourage, the long-running HBO show about an actor and his posse of Hollywood ne’er-do-wells, will end next year with an abbreviated six-episode eighth season.

During the annual summer Television Critics Association press tour, HBO programming president Michael Lombardo said that the show would definitely be ending next year, though the possibility for a movie wasn’t off the table. “We have a long-term relationship with Doug Ellin [Entourage Executive Producer and Head Writer], and I’m sure you’ll soon see another series from him here,” Lombardo said. “But next summer will definitely be the final season for ‘Entourage.’”
