Rock Down the Aisle At Ozzfest
Because the Chapel of Elvis is just so tacky.
Couples seeking to walk down the aisle at a sweaty outdoor amphitheater while Mötley Crüe and Black Label Society shred now have the opportunity to do so, thanks to a rather unique deal from Ozzfest.
The festival is offering couples the opportunity to have a wedding ceremony in true Almighty Church of Rock fashion with its “Unholy Matrimony” packages.
As explained on the festival’s website: “As with other wedding packages, the one-stop Unholy Matrimony Packages provides just about everything the happy couple will need except a marriage license. Each special package includes a variety of items to mark the special day and 10 general admission pit tickets for the bride & groom and 8 guests; an official OZZFest wedding ceremony by ordained minister, OZZFest’s MC Big Dave; an OZZFest cake and champagne toast. In addition, all 10 guests will get early entry into the venue with an exclusive pre-show backstage tour hosted by Big Dave; access to the OZZFest VIP lounge; specially designed Ozzfest tour shirts; collectible tour posters (numbered, limited), PIIQ – Bass Masq Earbuds by Sony and official OZZFest guitar picks.”
Happy couples who purchase the packages will also receive a gift from the festival’s sponsors via the Unholy Matrimony bridal registry, with options including a limited-edition guitar and a fridge stocked with Monster energy drink. Which is to say: everything your new happy heavy-metal household will need!
Those wishing to celebrate their special day at Ozzfest should act quickly, as Unholy Matrimony packages for the Hartford, Camden and San Bernardino shows are already sold out. Packages for the Chicago, Pittsburgh and Boston shows are still available, for fans who want to walk down the aisle to “Mama, I’m Comin’ Home” or, um, “Hellbent For Leather” (courtesy of Judas Priest’s Rob Halford).
