Watch Will Sheff Play a New Okkervil River Song

Last week, Okkervil River vocalist Will Sheff played a solo show at New York City’s Living Room, a set that included an acoustic version of a brand new Okkervil River song, “Lay of the Last Survivor.”

The band recently produced and backed Roky Erikson on his April release, True Love Cast Out All Evil, but have not announced any details regarding a new Okkervil River album yet.

The new song features Sheff’s trademark world-weary voice, literary allusions, and strong acoustic guitars. Watch Sheff play “Lay of the Last Survivor” below:
