Great nephew of Alice Coltrane and all-around experimental badass Flying Lotus unveiled a new single, “Camera Day,” from his upcoming EP Pattern+Grid, due out Sept. 20 on Warp Records.
The California-based hip-hopper got his start crafting beats for Adult Swim on Cartoon Network before dropping 1983, his first full-length album, in 2006. Lotus releases the seven-track EP only a handful of months after his most recent LP, Cosmogramma.
