Listen to the New Arcade Fire Album and Watch a Salsa Orchestra Cover the Band
The Arcade Fire has released nearly every tiny, intimate detail about their sprawling new album, The Suburbs, which is due out from Merge tomorrow. With the eight different (but similar) covers, four of the album’s sixteen tracks, tour details and a webcast directed by Terry Gilliam live from New York, could Win & Co. do any more to whip up a rabid album frenzy? The answer is yes, courtesy of NPR, which is streaming the entire album now.
In addition to the stream, the Williamsburg Salsa Orchestra performed a cover of the Arcade Fire song, “Keep the Car Running.” The Orchestra is a 12-piece band “playing big Latin arrangements of [their] favorite indie tunes.” Watch below:
