Big Boi, MGMT, Jónsi Lead MoogFest 2010 Lineup

Moog synthesizers are pretty rad. Subtle, but awesome-sounding, you’ve heard them whether or not you realize it. And if you’re unfamiliar, hear some of our favorite tunes featuring moog lines here.

Their inventor, Robert Moog, essentially revolutionized electronic musical instruments as we know them, so the man naturally deserves some props. Enter MoogFest, an aptly named three-day festival that takes place at the end of October in Asheville, North Carolina and celebrates the innovative sound pioneer.

This year’s MoogFest boasts a diverse lineup of musicians including acts like Big Boi, Jonsi, Caribou, MGMT, Panda Bear, Hot Chip, Massive Attack, Thievery Corporation, Girl Talk and many more.
