Nathan Lane to Appear on Modern Family Next Season

In case it wasn’t evident that the storyline behind Cam (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) was one of the strongest on ABC’s Modern Family, the couple will be joined by a new character, Cam’s “flamboyant friend Pepper,” played by Nathan Lane, next season according to Entertainment Weekly.

Modern Family has been nominated for the Outstanding Comedy Series Emmy, with the winner to be announced later this month at the Emmy awards. Five of the show’s characters are also nominated for individual acting awards.
