NBC Pulls Mad Men Parody Videos

Not everyone was amused by the thought of Jimmy Fallon as Don Draper.

NBC pulled the first three videos of a Mad Men parody promo series (to drive up NBC’s Emmys buzz) starring Fallon in the Don Draper role and Christina Hendricks as Joan Holloway after a representative from a rival network complained.

The problem, according to the rep, was that the voting window for the Emmy awards is still open, and it could come off as NBC promoting Mad Men over the other drama series nominated in its category.

NBC will begin airing and posting the promos again once the voting window closes tomorrow, Aug. 17.
