New Elvis Costello Album Coming in October

Rock legend Elvis Costello (who not too long ago joined a slew of celebrities in singing “Hey Jude” at the White House) has a resume to be reckoned with. On Oct. 5, he’ll be adding to it with his 34th studio release, National Ransom.

Several albums from Costello’s extensive discography have been remastered and reissued, and a quick Google reveals no less than half a dozen notable tribute albums dedicated to the man. He’s collaborated and/or performed with everyone from Roy Orbison to Jenny Lewis and Fall Out Boy, but as of yet there’s no word if any of his former collaborators will appear on the upcoming album. For now, there’s just cover art (pictured) and a release date.
