New York Public Library Declares Steve Martin, Ethan Hawke, More "Library Lions"

The New York Public Library has announced five “Library Lions” to be honored at their Nov. 1 black-tie gala, individuals chosen “for their contributions to the world of ideas.” This year’s gala honors actor and writer Steve Martin, actor/novelist Ethan Hawke, novelist Zadie Smith, author Malcolm Gladwell, and New York Public Library President Paul LeClerc.

The awards ceremony, held at the Stephen A. Schwarzman building in New York, will consist of cocktails and a dinner followed by a party thrown by the Young Lions club, a group of young adults in New York who support the library. More information is available at the library’s website.
