Tim Burton Working on Addam's Family and Big Eyes, Possibly With Ed Wood Writers

Tim Burton has a pair of movies in the works, and both are rumored to be written by the team behind Ed Wood, Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski.

The Addams Family is a predictable turn, as Burton has long been an admirer of fellow gloomy artist Charles Addams. Fans will be interested to know that that the film will be a stop-motion closely based on the original comics drawn by Addams.

The second movie in the works, Big Eyes seems like a hit just from the description alone. Based on the life of artist Margaret Keane, the story follows her struggle to get funding for portraits of (here’s our favorite part), big-eyed children. The movie will also explore the rocky marriage between Margaret and her husband Walter Keane, which ended in a pretty epic court case. In the trial, both claimed to have ownership of the big-eyed children paintings. The judge solves this matter by challenging them to a paint off, which Margaret won. Dark humor for the win!
