Ryko Remembers Bill Hicks With Box Set

Ryko plans to posthumously release The Essential Collection, a four-disc set spanning the brief but significant career of potty-mouthed satirist Bill Hicks on Sept. 14.

Essential includes two CDs-worth of audio recordings from Hicks’ stand-up performances. Two DVDs boast five hours of footage from the funnyman’s personal archive, including interviews, old family photos and the campy short film “Ninja Bachelor Party.”

Buddies of the late Hicks Henry Rollins and Clive Anderson, among others, pen the liner notes.
