Gregg Allman had to cancel a June 26 appearance at Eric Clapton’s “Crossroads” festival because a liver became available; he underwent surgery that month and has since been recovering. But the band is slated to hit the stage again in November with three nights in Boston’s Orpheus Theatre.
“I’m ready,” Allman says on the official Allman Brothers Band website. “I’ve been itching to play since I got the operation and am glad to be back."
The band plans an intimate “Evening With…” tour for the rest of the fall, but no other dates have been announced yet. The Boston shows will take place Nov. 18-20, with tickets going on sale Aug. 12.
