Watch Margaret Cho's Music Video With Andrew Bird

Bits and pieces of Margaret Cho’s upcoming musical comedy album, Cho Dependent, have oozed out into the interwebs over the last couple of months as we approach the Aug. 24 release date and whirlwind fall tour. Among the most recent and the most promising are a new music video for her collaboration with Andrew Bird and a streaming track she co-wrote with Patty Griffin and sang with Fiona Apple.

Cho enlisted some of her heroes to make an album that she hopes is hilarious but also musically sound. Some of the performers she recruited range from Ani DiFranco to Andrew Bird to Tommy Chong, and in the newly-released video for “I’m Sorry,” the murder ballad Cho co-wrote and performed with Bird, we get a taste of this approach. The album is available for pre-order via MargaretCho.com.
