Gogol Bordello Push for Immigration Reform in Latest Video

Gogol Bordello tackles immigration reform in their video for “Immigraniada (We Comin’ Rougher)” off of Trans-Continental Hustle.

The Isaiah Seret-directed clip kicks off with the FDR quote “Remember always that all of us, and you and I especially, are descended from immigrants.” It features shots of Eugene Hutz and company working thankless jobs mixed in with scenes from Ellis Island.

“We wanted to make a video that stimulates against judgementality,” Hutz said in a statement. “Through our music and travels, we’ve become the unofficial ambassadors for immigrants around the globe. We wanted this song to be somewhat anthemic for our fans, in a generational sense, and to support the movement of world citizenship as an antidote to the reactionary global politics that separate communities worldwide.”
