Perfect timing for all those folks writhing in impatience over the release of R.E.M.’s new studio album … The live DVD R.E.M. Live From Austin, TX drops Oct. 26.

New West Records releases the live footage from the Athens-based rockers’ 2008 performance on PBS’s Austin City Limits.

The DVD showcases loads of recent cuts as well as a mix-bag of more classic and radio-worn hits. Three additional performances not shown in the original broadcast snuck their way into the collection.
