Last night at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in London, former Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher had some good things to say about his nemesis, former Blur frontman and current Gorillaz mastermind Damon Albarn.
The rivalry between these Britpop titans is the stuff of legend, but Gallagher told The Sun, “Gorillaz definitely deserve some kind of award — if only for having 104 people onstage at Glastonbury.”
Gorillaz will be hitting the road for a tour of the UK and Ireland this November, and the NME reports that they’re enlisting the help of a few famous friends. Bobby Womack, De La Soul and Shaun Ryder of Happy Mondays will all be teaming up with Albarn and company onstage.
