Well, he can rock the moustache, but can he sing? Sacha Baron Cohen is on board to play Freddie Mercury in an upcoming Queen biopic.
The as-yet-untitled project is set to start filming next year, and screenwriter Peter Morgan (Frost/Nixon) will pen the script.
Mercury’s surviving bandmates, guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor, are both involved with the movie as musical consultants. No word on whether Cohen will sing in the film or lip-sync to the legendary frontman’s vocals.

I would be curious to know if Dave Clark will get any mention in this movie? He and Freddie were very good friends. Dave was with Freddie when he died, and I believe he spoke at his funeral.
