Morrissey Announces His 13 Favorite Albums, Songs

Last month he counted down his 13 all-time favorite albums, and this week, Morrissey took some time out from offending 1.3 billion people to reveal his 13 favorite songs of all time on his Facebook page.

Some (The New York Dolls, Roxy Music) are no-brainers, but there are a few surprises on the list. The inclusion of a Bob & Marcia track is especially interesting, given the former Smiths’ frontman’s famous declaration that all reggae is vile. Listen to the complete list of Morrissey’s faves below.

1. The New York Dolls — “Jet Boy”

2. Sparks — “This Town Ain’t Big Enough For the Both of Us”

3. The Sundown Playboys — “Saturday Nite Special”

4. Bob & Marcia — “Young, Gifted and Black”

5. The Tams — “Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy”

6. Buffy Sainte-Marie — “Soldier Blue”

7. Al Martino — “Granada”

8. Shocking Blue — “Mighty Joe”

9. The Crystals — “All Grown Up”

10. Paul Jones — “I’ve Been A Bad, Bad Boy”

11. The Supremes — “I’m Livin’ In Shame”

12. Roxy Music — “Do the Strand”

13. Mr. Bloe — “Groovin’ with Mr. Bloe”
