AP Stylebook Now Accepting Submissions for Social-Media Terms

AP Stylebook, the authority on journalistic style, tweet-asked anyone interested to submit social-media terms for possible inclusion in 2011’s AP Stylebook.

The AP Stylebook editors will select their favorite suggestions for induction. If your term is chosen, you score either a free year’s subscription to AP Stylebook Online or a free download of the AP Stylebook application for iPhone or iPod touch. Not too shabby!

Last year’s social media themed additions included both Facebook and Twitter as capitalized entities—despite the logos’ lowercase presentation.

Make a suggestion here. We’re personally hoping that “strat” makes the cut.
