Update: Mull of Kintyre Not Actually Owned by Paul McCartney
Update: Oops! Turns out that while Macca was inspired by the Mull of Kintyre, he doesn’t actually own it. His nearby property is not for sale. The Herald Scotland reports that the Mull is owned by two sisters. But hey, being Paul McCartney’s neighbor ain’t so bad either, right?
Thanks to reader Barb for the tip!
Paul McCartney’s Mull of Kintyre is up for sale.
The property, made famous by the 1977 Wings hit of the same name, will set you back roughly $4.5 million and includes nine miles of coastline, a spa, a farm, a nine-bedroom mansion and several cottages.
Start saving your money. As Andrew Smith of the Strutt & Parker real-estate company handling the sale puts it, it’s “a magical place where you can truly get away from the stress and strains of everyday life and enjoy the stunning scenery that the Mull of Kintyre offers.”
