Cynthia Plaster Caster Running for Mayor of Chicago

Cynthia Plaster Caster, the self-described “recovering groupie” known for making plaster casts of rock stars’ naughty bits, has announced her candidacy for mayor of Chicago.

Plaster Caster (whose real name is Cynthia Albritton) is certainly embracing her past, with campaign buttons for sale on her website that read “Cynthia Plaster Caster: The Hard Party 2011” and “Erect Cynthia.”

However, she’s serious when it comes to cleaning up the city. Her website reads, “As entertaining as Chicago politics have become (making it a great place to have a good laugh!), there is now an outstanding opportunity to make a much needed and substantial change at City Hall, now that Daley’s stepping down. We can bring the era of machine politics to a close with just a pen and ballot. Wouldn’t it be nice if we elected someone totally different? Our city requires a leader who is willing to focus more on the needs of the people and less on politics.”

Two rallies will be held in the city where she’ll discuss her platform: Nov. 5 at Jackhammer (6406 N. Clark St.) at 9 p.m., and Nov. 15 at Schubas (3159 N. Southport) at 7:30 p.m.

You can buy some of Cynthia Plaster Caster’s works, including a mold of Jimi Hendrix’s penis, here or read about how she first started her career as a rock ’n roll plaster enthusiast here (sites NSFW).
