Ghostface Killah Announces New Album, Tour Dates
Reader, were you disappointed with Ghostface Killah’s last proper solo album, 2009’s R&B-focused and ridiculously titled Ghostdini: Wizard of Poetry in Emerald City? You weren’t alone. Luckily, we live in a world of possibilities, where an artist always has a second chance as long as he’s willing to give it another shot. A world where, amidst this infinite potential, there is… All right, perhaps we’re getting a little ahead of ourselves.
But you’ll have to pardon our excitement, as just yesterday Ghostface tweeted (via Spin) that his latest, The Apollo Kids, will be released on Dec. 14. Nothing else is known about the album at the moment, but as the always-astute Vulture points out, the album’s title is taken from a song from Ghostface’s iconic 2000 record, Supreme Clientele. Color us anticipatory!
Meanwhile, Ghost is on the road with Sheek Louch for the next month. Maybe you could ask him for more details about the album when he comes to your town? Great, thanks:
