Hulu to Drop Subscription Rates?

With word of streaming-only Netflix subscriptions in the works, Hulu may lower the subscription rate of their Hulu Plus service in attempt to compete with the movie rental giant.

A Hulu Plus subscription currently goes for $9.95 a month, but the rate will reportedly drop to $4.95 in the near future. A basic Netflix subscription costs $4.99 a month.

Hulu Plus launched last July, and it offers streaming service to iPhone 4, 3GS, 3G, iPod Touch, iPad, and the Sony PlayStation 3 Game Console.
