Not enough metal in your meals? Try whipping up a recipe from Mosh Potatoes: Recipes, Anecdotes and Mayhem from the Heavyweights of Heavy Metal, out Nov. 16 via Simon and Shuster.

Steve “Buckshot” Seabury rounded up some of the hardest, rockin’-est greats to contribute to his culinary-themed compilation. Mosh Potatoes, which took five years to pull together, features over 100 recipes from metallic gods and goddesses like Lita Ford, Zakk Wylde, Rex from Pantera, Type O Negative and Megadeth. “Some of the bands didnt want to do it because they didnt think their fans would like it,” Seabury told Blabbermouth. “Cooking isn’t metal enough, I guess. Most of the bands loved it. I think a high percentage of musicians including myself started working in the kitchen either washing dishes or cooking when they first started out.”

Pre-order the book here for that cherished metalhead in your life.
