James Cameron Commits to Avatar Sequels

James Cameron has agreed to make two Avatar sequels his next projects.

After Fox reportedly gave a hefty donation to his environmental fund, Cameron signed on to make the sequels his only projects for the next two years. The director is currently working on penning the scripts, and once they’re completed, he will decide whether to film the movies back-to-back or not.

Avatar 2 will hit theaters in Dec. 2014, while the third installment will arrive Dec. 2015. So hold onto your Avatar costume after this Halloween; dressing up as a blue person will still be relevant five years from now!
