Looks like we weren’t the only ones a little skeptical about Mel Gibson’s Hangover 2 cameo. Director Todd Phillips has canceled the appearance after members of the movie’s cast and crew voiced concerns over working with the controversial actor.
“I thought Mel would have been great in the movie, and I had the full backing of [Warner Bros. president] Jeff Robinov and his team,” Phillips said in a statement. “But I realize filmmaking is a collaborative effort, and this decision ultimately did not have the full support of my entire cast and crew.”
There’s no word on who specifically complained, but Zach Galifianakis is rumored to have been particularly vocal about his feelings on the matter.
If that’s the case, nice work, Zach! Bearded comedians: 1. Hateful people: 0.

SOOOO LAME!! Mel in Hangover was GENIUS. So now because his bitch wife
ILLEGALLY audio-taped him and showed the world that he's a racist drunk in private, he
can NEVER work again?? give me a break... its not like he killed someone - everyone
knows what he said was ignorant and wrong - get over it already and the let the guy be
the wonderful actor he is.

Well, there goes me seeing hangover 2 or anything with any of these actours and Due

It's Warner Brothers, Time Warner who own People magazine . Maybe they had this
planned all along...to hire him and then fire him.I don't trust them.

Saw the first...will pass on the sequel. Big mistake Warner Bros.

What?? A movie with questionable morals with a guest start as a convicted rapist and a
cannibal who bit off a part of another human ear is A OK? But, Mel Gibson who has not
been convicted of anything and otherwise is a known good father and brilliant maker is
not? The movie is about cheating husbands, gambling, drunks and all around foolish
behavior with women as sex objects!! Hypocrites. I won't see their silly movie, but would
have just to see how Mel was presented.
I have to say, this does how how much Oksa has destroyed Mel's career. IT SHOULD BE
A CRIME to destroy a person's illustrious and successful career based on edited tapes of
private conversations. And, it is just her greed!
Posted at 3:45 PM on Oct 21, 2010 by koko
who the F*CK are those "actors" to complain about who's in the movie and who's not?
They afraid of being overshadowed??

i didnot see Hangover but i was going to watch it so i can watch Hangover 2...but after
they cut Mel...i will not watch Hangover nor 2 at all!
bunch of stupid dumbazz ignorants who don't know the word fairness ....they don't care
about the truth! stupid fools!
fkn bitch needs to be sued by Mel and his family and sent to Hell!
Posted at 3:47 PM on Oct 21, 2010 by Who'sThat
I will remember to never see any of these actors films. If they are so unprofessional that
they can not separate personal from professional they don't deserve to be in the industry.
Bradley Cooper is the only one that has any fame and none of them can stand up to Mel's
talent.
What a bunch of azzzholes! It is too bad as I enjoyed the first movie but can guarantee I
won't spend the money on this one.
BOYCOTT these ACTORS!!!

Big Mistake , it will come out over the next week, who did what.
Over the weekend , the Bearded one was saying he didn't like someone on the NEW
cast. So I hope everybody puts this guy in his place.
REALLY was a dumb thing for the CAST to do, and if I was on the CAST, I would say "it
wasn't me", and point out the "idiot", so the PUBLIC can "show how we feel".
If the Bearded one said he was gonna leave over it, the Producer and Director should
have FIRED his ass and showed support for MEL.
Posted at 3:53 PM on Oct 21, 2010 by john
Guess that movie just got 86'd off my must see list. a bunch of 2nd rate actors trying to be
politically correct. Too bad they would rather support a gold digging extortionist then have
Mel in the movie (which would have been brilliant) If the cast wants to behave like that then
I really dont feel the need to support them with any of my ticket money... ever.
Now when Mel is in a movie, I'm there!

@Shell: Add me to your "finger" list! I'm in total agreement!
John - The studio blew it - If it was my money on the line I would have dumped the
malcontents - Who are those bozos anyway -never recognized one of them - they must
be one shot actors who have other jobs to support themselves. Losers!!!!
Posted at 4:02 PM on Oct 21, 2010 by angeleyes
This is terrible PR for the Movie.
I mean we are not talking about a "educational and uplifting movie".
We are talking about a bunch of guys getting drunk and doing crazy stuff.
Was Warner Bros crazy to handle it this way.
The cameo of MEL was a "selling feature" of movie. If I was the director /producer I would
be PISSED at the CAST member that started this incident.
Posted at 4:07 PM on Oct 21, 2010 by john
Hmmm... a convicted rapist and wide beater (Mike Tyson) was in Hangover one but Mel
who has used naughty words can't be in the sequel? Tell me that makes sense!
Posted at 4:06 PM on Oct 21, 2010 by Bubba
I guess the cast and most of Hollywood are soooo perfect and never had any issues with
substance abuse.........how tolerant of them....I guess in today's society you are guilty first
and then you have to fight for the truth.....and if you do screw up as Mel has in the
past....acknowledging your mistakes and apologizing is not good enough for the *******s
in Hangover 2 and Hollywood. They can forgive Mike Tyson but not Mel....??! the
hypocrites in Hollywood can go F**k themselves....oh, they probably already do!
Posted at 4:11 PM on Oct 21, 2010 by sarah
Fine....I will NOT be going. Didn't these bimbos read that 75% of America could care less
about this mess and enjoy the talent, and brilliance of Mel Gibson either as a director or
on the screen.
As far as these particular actors who were so "perfect" that they were complaining, I'd say
this "your time is coming when the entire viewing public will absolutely hear some scandal
regarding your lives". You are a pathetic bunch of folks. I doubt any of you has the talent
of Mel Gibson and anyone who shuns him from acting is either insane or jealous of his
talent!!!!! Pathetic.

I would have watched Hangover II, now I won't. To be honest, I never thought the 1st one
was that good and I think the movie is beneath Mel.
Posted at 4:40 PM on Oct 21, 2010 by gonesi
I won't watch it now, I would have watched it before even if Mel was not in it,the first one
was funny, but with their baby attitudes they have lost a viewer. They will work with a
convicted rapist and alleged wife beater, Mike Tyson, but they won't work with Mel who
would have brought people in droves to the movie. Well, to hell with them, and I was
looking forward to see that other movie that Bradley Cooper and Renee, the scary one,
but not now.
I will boycott all movies with Zach Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper, Justin Bartha, Ed Helms in
them.

@Bard59,
"Do U think Zach Galifianakis is pissed about Mel's association with the new Hangover
movie?"
Methinks so. Pity, I was looking forward to Mel's cameo, now, not so much.
Did you see Zach's picture in Vanity Fair this month...dressed up like a pea**** in white
suit & wingtips on beach? All ready for his oblong slide "Between Two Ferns" I hope.

Zach Galifianakis is 41 years old he has never been sober enough in his life to have a
meaningful relationship with another person. Zach Galifianakis is barely capable of taking
care of himself is passing judgement on Mel Gibson, married for 30 years.
Not buying it. Zach Galifianakis did it to avoid bad press not to "protest" a moral issue.
The guy is a junkie, what morals can he possibly have other than what he has to do to get
high?

226.
Really poor judgment casting Mad Mel Jism in a film. Do women want to see him? No. Do
blacks? No? Gays, Jews or Hispanics? Nope. Who's left? Crackpots like Mel, I suppose,
bu then again, he's paying THEM to come here and support him so I doubt they'd spend
their hard earned Mad Mel money at one of his crazyfests.

Gibsons cameo role would have made the whole movie and they know it. Gibson would
upstage them without even trying.
Todd Philips director is only now realizing a movie is a team effort.

...
Its sad that NOBODY even knows the real truth yet, and people are convicting Mel before

Just another direct to DVD movie then. Didn't see one of them bitching or complaining
when they stuck Tysons ass on the first one. The 1st one was barely mariginal in the first
place with a couple of good lines and well placed cameos. These boys need all the help
they can.

I have an idea who has the prob w/Mel...Hollywood -bunch of hypocrites. Tyson can bite
ears off, Kobe can go 2 court for rape, OJ freaking killed his wife and got off, HW had
probs w/Mel ever since "The Passion of Christ", James Caviezel is an open Christian
(which is a no no in HW, he hardly get any movie roles )Hanks can make "The Da Vinci
Code"-but thats okay, he's a liberal-he gets a pass, etc etc The freaking hypocrite (actors
names) could go on forever. I think Mel having a cameo would have been great and done
no harm, unless some ppl don't go see movies bc of actors political views...sickening.
Give Mel a freaking break...
Posted at 6:51 PM on Oct 21, 2010 by Danielle
So I guess I won't be seeing Hangover II. Mel has demons but Tyson didn't? It's okay to
share the screen with a convicted felon but not a bipolar drunk? And I seem to remember
a running gag about grandma's "Holocaust" ring. Bye-bye Brad! See you later Zach. Youll
be dried up too one day.

Mel is a genius at acting and making movies, he makes MONEY thats what the problem
is, he doesnt need them. He has fans all over the world, Ari Emanual is hardly known
outside of Hollywood, and no one likes him, even those that kiss up to him.
Posted at 7:17 PM on Oct 21, 2010 by fran
Oh well, Zack who is basically an unknown has just committed career suicide. You don't
talk bad about your peers to the press. Its a big no no in Hollywood.

Mel is an extremely talented man who has given us many fine cinematic experiences. He
is indeed a true triple threat, Acadamy Award Winning writer, director actor, producer who
has more natural talent in his little finger than every hack at TMZ and all the haters here and
the wannabees who "star" in "the hangover"...
Mad Max... The Patriot... Lethal Weapon... Ransom.... What Women
Want...Braveheart...The Passion of the Christ... Apocalypto... Air America... Man Without a
Face... We were Soldiers... Signs..., Shall I continue????? Yeah.. "stars" of the
Hangover.. give us a call when you have 1/4 of the resume Mel Gibson has. Think folks
will remember who you were in a few years?...
Mel.. I hope you get some help or a life coach and cool out and get back to doing the
things that made us look forward to your next project. You can do it....
Oh yeah.. by the way, I'm a Black Man... and I'm NOT on a horse!

@ poster 443, I am assuming that you saw the first Hangover since you wanted to bring
your womens group to see H2, and in that your group supported the first movie that had a
cameo of a convicted rapist and domestic abuser? Gotcha, I now see how hypocritical
these groups can be.

Doesn't make any difference what Mel says about Jews now or ever because he made a
Christian movie and wouldn't rewrite the Christian Bible for them. The Jewish ADL will
hound Mel for the rest of his life because they never forgive or forget. Just like they did to
Jesus. And the Jews are not equal opportunity employers because the industry has benn
dominated by Jews for the last 100 years. They hire and promote their own kind. It's good
that incidents like this happen to show people how much control the Jews have over our
media outlets. And it does make people wonder about them and their goals. In their quest
to squash one man they have created an abundance of enemies.

Open comment to Zach ~
1. Get a f**kin clue! You were unknown doing standup only 3 years ago. Who the F are
you to demand anyone off the set?
2. Mike Tyson's past is not that of an angel. But that was a brilliant idea having him in the
movie. It's called MOVING THE F ON.
3. Who are you to judge Mel? Who are you to judge - period?
4. Look forward to your skeletons coming out of the closet you f***ing hypocrite.
Whoever OK'd or agreed with Zach should be fired.
I don't condone the MG tapes. But that's HIS business and for him to deal with.
Check out Zach in his next movie ~ "The Pathetic Drama Queen" coming soon to theaters

I wouldnt boycott a Gibson film, but I'm certainly boycotting HO2. Zach has a film out now

You are all a bunch of hypocrits if your blackballing Mel from the movie. Like you haven't
done anything wrong in your life or used a slang word for a persons heritage. yeah right
tell it to the judge... Mel Gibson has made some bad moves and especially being stupid
enough to get caught ohhhh is that the difference btwn you guys and your big fat heads he
got caught while you all still look like your playing nicely. not. This shows some childish
behavior. Mel was wrong to raise his hands to a women, omg he made racial slurs like
ppl don't do that lets hang him from the cross like Jesus and then cry because we feel
bad. I think he needs to get some help if you were more human you would understand
that.

I don't understand my own attachment to Mel.
Just yesterday, if you asked me about Zach GawdWhattaDinkus, I'd have said he was a
riot.
Now, after his participation in the collective hissy-fit that tosses Mel from the flick, I can't
stand the troll (Zach).
Similarly, if you asked me about Bradley yesterday, I'd have said he was spleeny and
needs to stop fronting without his glasses. Today, he's the man.
I don't understand. I never gave a rat's-behind for Mel or his movies, never "got" the
hoopla about him. Still don't.
But, now I find myself feeling paternally protective of him. Go figure.
Anywhooo, a big shout-out and hello to all the Mel-sleuths and Melfire-tenders here on the
TMZ comment board, you all kick azz.

This is so unfair. Zach G is full of crap! Did he have any objections to casting Mike Tyson.
Sure, Mike served his time, but he was pronounced guilty of rape. Mel has not been tried
or convicted of anything.
The studio, director and crew of Hangover 2 are absolute COWARDS!!!! You suck!

"A movie you're acting in, you don't have a lot of control — you just show up and vomit
your lines out. Zach Galifianakis quote.
Funny, I don't think Mel Gibson ever showed up to a set where he had the attitude of
"vomit your lines out" and so little regard for the ticket payers. If acting is such a chore,
Zach, perhaps it is time to stop acting. Why would anyone want to see anyone that brings
no passion to their craft?

Maybe zak should be removed from the film, he can be replace in about 10 seconds with
pretty much anyone. some of the best scenes in hangeover were when mike t was on the
screen, I am pretty sure it would have been the same for number 2 with Mel G, but I gues
the producer is more afraid of zak's power then mel's. So many careers are about to be
lost just bacause zak has to be an a hole
Posted at 8:57 AM on Oct 22, 2010 by M

there is harmony again in the world ...listen Mel is a fine actor...harvey expose this liar
person that is Oksana!

I'll tell you one thing.
If they do a Lethal Weapon 5 Danny Glover has already said he'll do it if Mel returns. Sorry
racist hunters, he's only a racist in your minds. The people Mel works with still like him,
I'm sorry about that... loll
So, if they do a Lethal Weapon 5 it will generate more box office in it's first 3 days, than
Hangover 1 and Hangover 2 do combined their entire runs, including DVD sales.
Wanna bet?
Posted at 9:31 AM on Oct 22, 2010 by Michael
You are right, racist Mel only lives in their minds.
Danny and Mel are still great friends. (Obviously has no problem with blacks)
Jodie Foster and Mel are great friends. (Obviously has no problems with gays)
I could go on and on but frankly I think the Mel haters can't stay focused that long. lol
I can not wait for LW 5. I'll buy 10 dvd's when/if it is released to DVD just for the hell of it....

"Bearded comedians," my backside, Stiernberg. Somebody's got a sense of humor, though, using the Greek beard as a "beard" for their own Semitic self. Tyson got a pass from the same putz on "Hangover," just as Marge Schott got one the first time around in Cincinnati. The Lords of Hollywood and the Lords of Major League Baseball, you see, don't give a **** how many women get raped or black athletes get ****ed on, but they do protect their own. The REAL lesson is: Don't scr** with Jewish money. Let's not be confused about what's really going on, okay? (Not that the community is in any way united. Some are maybe a little ashamed at the hypocrisy of others. I'll leave you to your own conscience as to which camp you fall into. You did protest Tyson's involvement las go round, right?)
