New Iron and Wine Album "Sounds Like Mid-'70s FM, Radio-Friendly Music"

Sam Beam recently told Spin that Iron and Wine’s next full-length will move away from the subtle folk music established by the band’s catalogue.

“It sounds like the music people heard in their parent’s car growing up… that early-to-mid-’70s FM, radio-friendly music,” Beam said.

The bearded troubadour will kick off a tour in November with an entirely new roster.

Dates:

November
13 – St Louis, Mo. @ The Pageant
14 – Memphis, Tenn. @ Minglewood Hall
15 – Asheville, N.C. @ The Orange Peel
16 – Atlanta, Ga. @ Variety Playhouse
17 – Jacksonville, Fla. @ Florida Theatre
18 – Miami Beach, Fla. @ Fillmore Miami Beach
19 – Tallahassee, Fla. @ The Moon
20 – New Orleans, La. @ House Of Blues
21 – Houston, Texas @ Fitzgeralds
