Head Foo Fighter Dave Grohl has invited his former Nirvana bandmate Krist Kovoselic to join in on a song. The collaboration is slated to appear on the Foos’ seventh album, which coincidentally also marks the 20th anniversary of Nirvana’s seminal album Nevermind.
Former Nirvana producer Butch Vig oversaw the joint effort recorded in Grohl’s garage studio. Vig has produced six other tracks on the album thus far, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Fighting Foo also plan to release a film capturing the album’s recording process. Both releases are speculated to surface next year.
