Rupert Murdoch Launches Ticketing Site

Media mogul Rupert Murdoch furthered his quest to take over world recently with the launch of a new ticketing company in Australia.

Foxtix (Rolls right off the tongue!) went live yesterday, and it aims to rival Ticketmaster. “Compared to Ticketek and Ticketmaster, Foxtix will give venues and promoters more control of the ticketing of their event and more buyer data — at a lower cost,” Foxtix general manager Adam McArthur said. “Foxtix will also be giving consumers lower booking and transaction fees on their tickets.”

In addition to concerts, the site will sell tickets to arts and sporting events.
