Man, what is it with Will Arnett, Mitch Hurwitz and critically-acclaimed, ratings-starved comedies?
The Arrested Development pair’s latest Fox show Running Wilde is facing certain cancellation if ratings don’t pick up soon. Last night, the show lost 17 percent of its viewers from the previous week, dropping to 3.5 million. The show’s cast and crew have taken to Twitter in hopes of netting some more viewers for next week. Arnett recently tweeted, “Never done a grassroots effort, but let’s save the effing show #RunningWilde Forever! (or 5 decent seasons, plus a 6th for 2&ahalfmen $$)”
Arrested Development fans might want to consider tuning in to save this show. Hurwitz has said that Running Wilde doing well is what will determine if the long-awaited Arrested Development movie actually happens.

It's bad. It's just bad. The network has tied their hands creatively so that while its premise and cast is promising, it completely falls flat. It lacks all originality and falls into normal sitcom plotlines with heavy-handed moralistic endings. It's a bad show. It deserves to die a quick death so that Hurwitz et al can turn to some network that lets good shows have some freedom (NBC).
