Ray Parker, Jr., get ready for some royalties headed your way: Production on Ghostbusters 3 is rumored to start in May 2011.
While the plot will reportedly center around a new, younger crop of Ghostbusters, stars Sigourney Weaver, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Rick Moranis and Ernie Hudson will all return for the flick. Ivan Reitman will direct.
Murray was a question mark for a while after he trashed the script being penned by Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg. Aykroyd has since taken over screenwriting duties for the movie, which begs the question: If your sequel’s bad, and your script ain’t good, who you gonna call? DAN AYKROYD! (We’ll show ourselves out…)

about those royalties....ray parker, jr was sued for copyright infringement by huey lewis with lewis and parker settling out of court for an undisclosed amount. parker countersued lewis in 2001, when lewis breached a confidentiality agreement by discussing the settlement in a vh1 documentary.
