Guillermo Del Toro Won't Make Frankenstein in 3D

There’s a time and a place for 3D movies, but director Guillermo Del Toro recently told DigitalSpy that he doesn’t think classic films should get the multidimensional treatment.

“I don’t want to see Jane Austen’s Pride And Prejudice and see Mr Darcy in 3D,” he said. “I don’t want to see Wuthering Heights in 3D.” Del Toro conceded that “big spectacle” movies like Avatar are an exception, but he still refuses to film his upcoming Frankenstein adaptation in 3D. “Frankenstein, I will fight for it not to be in 3D, Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde I wouldn’t like it to be 3D,” he said. ”Slaughterhouse-Five, I think Kurt Vonnegut would have smiled either way.”
